## Pre-launch / insider trading concerns

A Financial Times analysis (using Bubblemaps), reported by CryptoSlate and others, found that about two dozen wallets bought roughly $2.6 million of MELANIA in the minutes before the public announcement and netted nearly $99.6 million as retail buying surged; one wallet reportedly turned about $681,000 into tens of millions within days. The FT traced early purchases to wallets connected to ventures linked to Hayden Davis — the figure also tied to the $LIBRA token. Davis denied that the MELANIA team profited, stating: "There was no money made from the Melania team. Zero."
