Summary
Save the Kids (KIDS) was a 2021 BNB Chain token marketed as a charity coin and heavily promoted by influencers, including members of FaZe Clan. It collapsed shortly after launch and is widely described as a pump-and-dump scheme. [1][2]
The modified "anti-whale" code
The token advertised an "anti-whale" mechanism so large holders could sell only a small percentage of supply per 24 hours. Investigators — notably YouTuber Coffeezilla — found the code was changed just before launch to cut that window from 24 hours to 60 seconds, allowing insiders to "dump" their holdings rapidly. [1][2]
Aftermath
FaZe Clan removed one member and suspended three others over the promotion; they denied acting with malicious intent. TIME reported that a claimed ~$80,000 "charity donation" never reached Binance Charity, which said it does not accept new altcoin campaigns. [2][3]
