Su Zhu
Co-founder of the Singapore crypto hedge fund Three Arrows Capital (3AC), which collapsed in 2022 owing creditors ~$3.5B. Singapore's MAS banned him for nine years; he was jailed four months in 2023 for failing to cooperate with liquidators and arrested at Changi Airport.
Also known as: Zhu Su
Bio
Su Zhu (Zhu Su) co-founded Three Arrows Capital (3AC) with Kyle Davies in 2012. Once one of the largest crypto hedge funds, 3AC used heavy leverage and imploded in mid-2022 after the Terra/LUNA crash, ordered into liquidation by a BVI court and owing creditors roughly $3.5 billion — a collapse that cascaded into Voyager, Genesis, BlockFi, and others. [1][2]
Status
3AC was not a fraud prosecution, but: Singapore's MAS issued nine-year prohibition orders against Zhu and Davies (Sept 2023) and reprimanded 3AC for providing false information. After the founders failed to cooperate with liquidators, a Singapore court sentenced Zhu to four months for contempt; he was arrested at Changi Airport on Sept 29, 2023 while trying to leave. Liquidators sought to recover ~$1.3B from the pair. [1][2]
