Summary
Teddy Doge (TEDDY) was a BNB Chain Dogecoin-style memecoin and DEX. In July 2022, security firm PeckShield said wallets connected to the developers executed a "soft rug pull": the deployer moved a large quantity of TEDDY and, controlling the project's liquidity pools, sold the tokens for about $4.5 million — converted to roughly 10,000 BNB and 2 million BUSD and sent to Binance. TEDDY fell about 99%. [1][2]
Team response
Admins said they were unsure whether the transactions stemmed from a bug or a leaked developer wallet, paused the cross-chain bridge, and indicated the project would rebrand. [1][2]
